PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This is a key position in the day-to-day operations of the Company. Duties include handling customer inquiries in a courteous and timely manner and ensuring that all ready mix concrete orders are delivered timely and meet the customer's expectations. This position reports directly to the Dispatch Manager of Triple Crown Concrete.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Responds to customer in-bound orders in a call center environment;
  • Inform customers of order pricing and availability of trucks;
  • Complete order form and enter data into computer for batching;
  • Respond promptly by telephone and or email to the truck orders;
  • Researches/resolves inquiries and log all calls;
  • Informs requesters about trucks availability and helps assess trucking needs;
  • Provide assistance in safety training and provide troubleshooting support to drivers;
  • Communicate effectively with management and customers regularly;
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed at all times;
  • Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, and flexibility in carrying out job responsibilities; and
  • Additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate, G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience (preferred);
  • Prior dispatching experience highly desired, preferably 2 -3 years;
  • Prior experience in construction materials distribution is a plus;
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices;
  • Excellent communication skills and professional personal presentation;
  • Excellent organizing; planning, and customer service presentation;
  • Great attention to detail and stress tolerance;
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products preferred; and
  • Must be willing to work weekends and extended hours.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check;
  • Pass a pre-employment "Fit for Work" physical;
  • Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document;
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times;
  • Report to work at the designated start time;
  • Be able to work overtime when required;
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook;
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist coworkers or supervisors with other duties as required; and
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.
